“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
- Carl Rogers
How I work
I have an MSc in Counselling & Psychotherapy. I am specialised in the person-centred approach. Which means I work by really listening to what you have to say and how you feel. I am focussed on understanding all the parts of you. I will from time to time be honest with you, bring out a part of you that perhaps you haven’t yet acknowledged. Together, we will explore you, we will understand more who you are and why you are as you are. With this awareness you can then start to make changes.
How does that help?
Just in the same way that when you cut yourself your body heals itself. Actually, anything we are struggling with mentally or emotionally also has the ability to heal. But there are lots of things in the way. I look to help find what those things are, to remove them, so that you can quite naturally heal yourself.
Who do you work with?
The person-centred approach and the way I work allows me to work with a huge variety of issues. I love working with a wide diversity of issues and a wide diversity of people. Some of the areas I have more experience with are listed below:
Depression
Anxiety
LGBTQ+
Low self esteem
Trauma
Relationship issues
